At one time, when the toplist was getting up to 3000 hits a month, it made sense to reset the hits in/out totals regularly to help keep voting competition keen.

Nowadays the toplist simply does not have the same level of traffic to justify such frequent resets and, in my opinion, it is now the accumulative hit totals that are actually more useful as a guide to informing toplists visitors as to which sites still have the most activity and which are most popular.

Therefore monthly resets are no longer regularly scheduled and a reset will only be called should a clear unbalance or anomaly occur in the hit totals.

Sites on the toplist are NOT ranked by voting either with Hits In or Hits Out
but are now grouped using a set number for "Hits In" as follows -

  • 10 - Forums with high activity, with multiple members posting daily
  • 9  - Forums showing some daily activity
  • 8  - Forums with some members posting occasionally
  • 7  - Forums requiring registering to view activity
  • 6  - Forums with little or no current activity
  • 5  - Uncatagorised forums
  • 2  - Some sites with wordlists useful for members when playing forum games
  • 1  - Some resouece sites - image hosts, smiley sites etc.
  • 0  - Some free forum hosting sites

Sites will appear in a random order within their grouping.
